I would say .5" a month also sometimes a little less. I have two in a 300. I feed quite well. From 4" to 10" in about a year.

Wow, thats pretty fast!!! Do tell the TIPS pls.

Whats the GPH in your tank (Total)?
Temp?
How many times do you feed a day?

Last but most important (2 me atleast)... how many H2o changes a month and how big (%)

Sorry, just gotta ask.

Had a pair of Vittatus a while back and they grew about.5 every 3 months or so (let them go at 5-6")

Yeah I didnt keep them for that long, but I remember I got them around 5" and let them go about an inch later... Id say I kept them for about 6 months or so...

The Goliath I had grew even slower:cry: (probly cause he was double his size++)

GPH, Gallons per hour? I am currently using an FX5 on the 300
Temp 26c
I don't feed everyday. Usually three or four 1.5cm chunks of Fish, Mussel or prawn every two days. occasionally live shrimps just give them a bit of chasing.
10-20% water change per week.

Its worth mentioning that I have two tigers. One I bought when they first came in and was the biggest and healthiest looking within the group. It is this one that has put on this growth a second which I picked up a bit latter on was one of the smaller remaining ones has only reach about 7"-8"
I think there is an element of genes involved in the growth rate. The larger is also a lot less skittish and has never hit the glass even in the smaller tanks 75g but the smaller has always done it and has been moved more often to try and avoid spooking it.
