Hi guys!First,i want to thank you all who take some time to read my post and maybe even answer:)I have a situation...Yesterday a friend of mine gave me a 20 cm blue dolphin and a 10-12 cm red zebra, because he had no place to keep them anymore. My 200 liter tank with 1200 liter/h external filter, only had an ancistrus and 2 white cory,so I said ,why not...well,at first i thought those cory catfish are suicidal, swimming only under the new guys,or even on their heads, putting their tails in those big eyes, you get the picture:)) But it turns out, those 2 are so peacefull, didn't even blink at them pesky catfish.
Now for my question...Would it be ok if I put a pair of young severums in there with the africans? My idea of what my tank should look like is: 1dolphin + 1red zebra + pair of severums + pair of ancistrus + 2 or 4 cory and maybe some giant danio(6-8).Plants,i have some small anubias and i'd like to use some java fern and vallisneria. What do you think, would this be ok for everybody in there?

If the zebra is some type of mbuna it may cause problems down the road.Ive never kept Severums so I can't speculate on how they might conduct themselves.

Well,I guess I will just have to try and see what happens...I will come back in about 2 weeks with some first impressions:)

Well,I didn't get the severums yet,but that crazy blue dolphin is keeping the ancistrus and the zebra under the rocks, the only fish allowed in the tank are the 2 corys:)The zebra gets to swim like 10 seconds out of it's cave before it gets atacked.I'm not really happy about that...The ancistrus got bit as well, near the back fin,5-7 mm wound on the poor guy.I feel really sry for him, because he never bothers any fish, even if he is fully grown, not even the corys.I am afraid that he'll starve to death, because he stais hidden under a rock since yesterday...

That's why I don't do mixed tanks. Sure, hypothetically, it could work, but sometimes a fish just won't react well to a totally new one. I'd either make the choice to get rid of the Africans, and have an all amazon tank, or go for Africans.

True that, but i got the ancistrus when i bought the tank,it is his home. Not to mention my gf who likes him the most:)And the dolphin and zebra, well,i thoight i should help them, because they were living in a 50 liter tank...
Today i guess the ancistrus has had enough, becouse he got out,all shagged up like a porcupine, and faced the big guy. After 5 mins, they were feeding nose to nose in front of the tank.
