Africans for 33 gal 3'

i have a 33 gal i want to put some africans in will peacocks be ok in there if not what are good lookers that will
 
Hi Harlan.

I have some reccomendations.

Mbuna:
Maingano
Red Top Zebra
Electric Yellows
Cobalt Blues
Saulosi

Peacocks:
8 smaller ones, let them grow up together.

A pic of the tank?
 
at the moment im using the tank to age water in so its just got a big piece of driftwood in it tomorrow il take a pic when i african it up a bit

No problem.

I'd recommend sand as a substrate, and largish round river rocks. Go to your local landscape suply place, and have a look at the rocks. Pic out the ones you want. If you get a small amount, you most likely won't have to pay for it as landscape places are used to selling in cubic metres. Do this in two days, and you will probably get all the rocks you wanted. getting them from a landscape supplys place gives you more chance on them being the same colour and natural looking.

You can probably do the same thing for quartz sand, just a get a bucket full at a time over a period, and you can almost do up your tank for free!
 
iv got some sand in my garden that i can use and theres lots of cool different rocks in my garden that i will use put in a few java ferns and some crushed coral and fish and theres an awesome tank

That could work too. I just find that 'borrowing' rocks from landscape suppliers gets better looking rock and sand. Personal preference.
