Try craigslist. I found a REALLY good breeder with everything. He has mostly all F0's but some F1's breeders and he lives like 2 miles away. Really good prices too!

I am not sure where in Cali you are at, but there's a lot of fish hobbyist clubs there.
Clubs are a great way to get stuff that does not show up at the pet stores.
