Well you can't live in paradise AND expect to have a multitude of tanks on your doorstep. That just wouldn't be fair on the rest of us! It's great that you're back in the game, although to be truthful I didn't have a clue that that was the situation you were in. With all your activity on the forum I thought you had a shed load of tanks. Fair play to you for your continued support on the forum, I bet you were going nuts without a tank and having to look at ours on a daily basis.

Hello; Glad for you getting a tank. Sorry it has a crack but you can fix that.
Oopshould have said "arrived without a crack. "No biggie.
But yes I "was" expecting to have to fix something.
And I knew the fish drought wouldn't last forever. just a little longer, and more complicated than I anticipated.

Great score! Looking forward to updates on this.
Out of curiosity, how is the electrical supply where you live?

Holy cow, now thats what i call a passion for the hobby... that trip must have been nerve racking... one mistake and all that effort would have been wasted...

Cant wait to see what you do with this tank...

There is a small electric plant on the island that generates power.
When there are just the 500 permanent residents, it is generally reliable, but at peak tourist times, when the population doubles, outages can be common.
I will tend to under stock for this reason, and also, because the water supply is sometimes less reliable than the power situation.
I believe this suggests, an @10" adult max cichlid length for this size tank.
On the outside chance anything outgrows those boundaries over time, as suggested above, it will be time to set up an Intexx.

And here I am complaining about a 50 mile drive trying to get someone to meet me half way! Lol
That’s pretty cool though having a tank delivered by boat. But I guess on an island everything is.

Just about everything here needs to be brought in, except for the small town of San Pedro, the place is a forest covered rock, with lots of reptiles and amphibians, no fresh water fish, no open fresh water.

Fresh fish, are just off shore, coconuts, papayas and a few other exotic fruits grow wild, although one must beat the birds to them..
