Sevs at that size are impossible to tell appart as far as green, heros notatus and heros appendiculatus (Peruvian turquoise) go. You will have to wait till about 3".
Either way the bars are a good sign of happiness, where as if he/she looks washed and bland it'll mean that it's not so happy..

Good decision to get one though...

Personally if a discus was cheaper than a sev i'd still go for the sev as discus IME have no real personality and are boring as hell to watch just doing nothing in the middle of the tank all day..

Nice Severums I can't remember the last time I had to wait "months and months" for a fish though. Must come with age, but if I want a fish it's mine as soon as I get a quarrantine tank set up!
