Well I bought myself a nice 13"+ pure white veiltail oscar as I thought it would be a nice addition to my comm tank as I just love the veiltail of the fish. Pricey oscar too at $60. I did not expect it to be an expensive feeder as my intention was to keep the oscar as the only cichlid in my tank. Also with a 13" long robust body plus the 10" long tail I thought it would be safe as I got a 8"+ leopard bush fish in there but I was wrong. I thought my bichirs don't hate cichlids anymore as even my 5" Indonesian Datnoid is not being harm. Well when it comes to cichlids my bichirs think differently about them as I used to feed them with 4" convict cichlids, 3-5" midas cichlid. Biggest feeder cichlid was a 8" midas cichlid. But now it's the 13"+ oscar.

This the remaining body part of the oscar. A messed up head. This oscar only lived in my tank for 3 days. It was eating fine too and always beg for food. A fun fish to have. Till I left the lights off overnight and the next morning my dad saw the carcass.

If you don't season your oscar with pepper, maybe the bichir wouldn't have eaten him...j/k
Those are sand that stick on the carcass when I took ot for picture. Well ot does look like it got seasoned.
