the blur in the second adds motion to the shot, with the flash shot remotely to black out the back it would be a stellar shot.

great orange on that guy, how big do these guys get?

The flash was shot remotely, but the fish is in a small tank right now so it's hard to get the background underexposed. These fish get between 24-30". My old one was somewhere around 20-22" before it died. They get so much bulk it's crazy.
 
Do they retain the juvenile pattern/coloration as adults?
 
No, they turn into a greenish gold and the red becomes brown, but the flower pattern stays.
 
stunning! they are easy to find here as food fish, but it's very hard to find those very RED ones, normally they more pale and grey. some of them are still red when they grow up, but those are very rare.
 
What you call "not technically a good shot" others call awesome. :thumbsup:
