Aggression In Flowerhorns

That's why I said I'm not trying to argue and I never said I was doing it or will do it in my original post. It was just a simple question of why it happens and can someone show me a picture of a flowerhorn in there hand outside of the tank with a net around them. Like another answered, they've never seen a picture of that either. Pictures not of them with some type of calming liquids for delivery are far less than pictures of people holding there own. I've seen pictures of dealers holding expensive ones in there bare hand and I doubt they would risk using some type of calming liquid for pictures and then using the liquid again for transport. I do agree that there might be some kind of calming liquid for delivery but I doubt they use it everytime they take pictures of their expensive ones.

Ive had flowerhorn delivered with some type of liquid in the water that keeps them calm, yes you can grab them with your hands just make sure not to grab them to tight but not so loose that you will drop em. Also make sure to wash your hands and put stress coat on your hands if you have any.
What are you trying to do tho?

I don't know why people are giving me flak. It was some simple questions regarding the behavior of a flowerhorn. And no, I never expected a flowerhorn ripping off half my fingers but I would've expected them to at least make an effort of wiggling out of your hand. Kind of extreme asking about the behavior of flowerhorns in your hand to having them biting your fingers off.

And what were you specting?, Flower horn ripping off half your fingers?.....:wall:

Try to do that with a 10" Serrasalmus Rhombeus or a Pygocentrus Caribe and then may get what youre looking for...

That is exactly the question I was asking about. Thank you for understanding that. Like I said, I have only seen pictures of them in a bare hand. I wasn't making a big deal out of it but I had to ask because exactly what you said, dealers post photos of expensive flowerhorns in bare hands also. Still waiting for a photo of one in someone's hand with a net around it and not a photo taken now to show me.

I've wondered about that too, since all the FH dealers post photos of them in hand.
