AGGRESSION IN MY TANK... PLEASE HELP!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have that already. fishing is what im doing most of the time during the summer on my free time. i have 3lb flourocarbon so ill try that i just have never had them eat when they know i am there. i have to have all the lights off in the room except for the one on their tank and i need to be perfectly still. but the 3 sides of my tank r covered so i think i can maybe hide to the one side and hope for the best. how do those pink tails do? would they work good for teacher fish? or r they finicky eaters? cuz big als has them on sale and they r about 4" each. and i like their look better then tinfoil barbs anyways. plus they r only about 8 bucks each i think

I was going to recommend fluorocarbon, but I didn't want to have you go spend $12 to get three feet of fishing line. I use fluoro as well. As for the payaras, with the size they have, once they starve for about two weeks and get really hungry, they'll start to get a bit more bold. Same with the feeding of the Goliath. You have larger, subadult fish and because of that, it might take them quite some time before they get hungry enough to be motivated to change their diet.

The PTC I have isn't a picky eater, but he's not an aggressive eater either If the gatf or payaras are beating up pellets, he'll either stay off to the side and wait or try to sneak a pellet. He won't directly compete directly with the other fish. $8 for a PTC is a GREAT deal I might add. They are extremely aggressive to other PTC however and are known for not doing well in groups. Even if they don't work out in a group for you, having one as a teacher fish with the barbs would make a great addition to the tank.

btw when do i get to give myself an avatar pic? :p im finally not some lame ass crab or darter

You should be able to do it at 10 posts. My sister only has 14 posts on her account and she has an avatar. Oh, and watch the language. This website considers itself to be family friendly, and you can catch an infraction for that. Ask me how I know. ;) lol

If you can't figure it out, LMK and I'll help you.
