So I added some wc polys with my cb endli (who was the only poly in the tank) and he immediately went after them. So I moved him in with my growouts for a few days. It was fine until he decided to bite one of my growouts and when I noticed I put him back in with the new guys. Now one of the new polys is picking on the bully. I came home to him with stressed colors and blood on his fins, whats going on why aren't these guys getting along?

Im about to take all of my polys out redecorate the tank and try reintroducing them all together and see if that helps any. Anybody else have any ideas?

sometimes they fight over territory cause of food. try feeding more

ive experienced this with my male ornate and male weeksii, ive found over the years that males can be territorial, i tried removing for a while, changing decorations round and alsorts,my tank is 1500 litres and was pulling my hair out.eventually i succeeded my removing all objects in the tank so there was nothing to fight over and added more polyterus, this worked for me.ive had in past stopped aggression slighty by adding more hiding places but found the dominant one still ends up harressing the weaker one what ever

Thanks for the info....Thats exactly what I did, I removed all decorations so theres nothing to fight over and I fed them a large meal, and so far so good. Once I feel everything is working out I will probably add a couple more polys.

it might be cause they are hungry. I feed my bichirs about 3 times a day, once when i wake up, once in the evening with bloodworms or other frozen food. and then when I turn the lights out i drop in some more shrimp pellets. they eat all the food. and are all growing well. I notice that when they have missed a feeding they tend to get a bit more aggressive. the delhezi gets stressed out by the senegal pacing up and down the glass and they have a face off.

So far without the decorations everything is going well.

Good to hear can we get some pics?
