Hi
I'm setting up a new tank as a divider wall and to test a couple of different setups before i build my stupid big tank.
Continuos water change system, sulphur pearl nitrate filter and wet dry tricklle fiters. Thats sort of thing.
Ive never owned a jd or a gold saum ( false green terror) before and not entirly sure what to expect.
Its a reasonabley largish tank 7lx2wx2.5d and will be loaded with a few rocks ,drift wood and heaps of silk plant glue to the tank floor. Substrate will be a good bed of sand.
Most of the reasearch ive done points to this will be ok but most of it seems to be lacking in hard evidence.
Im not worried about water quality as i can take care of that im just a bit worried about the saum and the jd spazzing out.

Looks fine to me. I didn't let my GT and JD find out if they worked cuz my GT was short bodied and the tank was too crowded to start with but everything I've heard is it should generally work.

I don't see a problem w ithvthe stock but silk plants don't last very long so I wouldn't bother gluing them to the bottom. It's been years since I have used silk plants but I want to say they fall apart after 6 months.

I wouldnt glue them either...taste can change then you would be stuck with them. You should do a build thread

True. I need some description of greenery. Thinking maybe a heap of drift wood with anubs and moss. Thinking lots of moss. Maybe some dw cabbage floaters or somn.
Just gonna do a background out of some roots, expandafoam and pond sealer. I work at sea For rather long periods and need this tank to be a very simple system for the missus to operate and still keep a very high lvl of water quality. Id like a thick patch of rush but securing it will be too problematic i think.
