Hi I was wondering what do people keep with aggressive armatus besides rays?!? I currently have a Florida gar with mine that is very submissive and gets punked whenever the armatus gets hungry. Im trying to get my tarpon to grow faster so i can retry the comm... Any suggestions?

Not a fish but I have mine with a fly river turtle of a simalar size. i'm always nervous during feeding. They live peacefully with no conflicts though.

Are all of your bichirs longer length wise than the armatus? What type of bichirs are with him? My albino Senegal didnt work, almost lost an eye

They're all sorts of sizes. I have 2 armatus about a foot each and my smallest bichir is an ornate around 8" and my largest being a 17-18" congicus with absolutely no problems. The only problem I had was the first few days after I added the aba and they thought it looked like a worm probably but now they don't even look at him.

I'm thinking about getting a few large bala sharks at pet smart and combining the armatus and the balas and tarpon and sd and if any bala sharks die i can return them in te first two weeks... Hopefully he'll get a bala instead of the tarpon... Does that sound like a good plan?

All the bala's will most likely be dead within the first night. I personally think it's just a waste of time to try the bala's
