LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO @ dilema
you are making more out of this than it is but if you must feel free and go ahead. However it is spelled I-N-T-E-L-L-E-C-T-U-A-L-S. One shouldnt throw stones if he lives in a glass house. the end.

There was a bit of gravel under my "N".

It's probably best if we do not take this any further off topic, so if you need any advice on capital letters and punctuation, please feel free to drop me a PM :nilly:

To get this thread back on track... Oscaroo, if you're getting a larger tank the Oscar needs to go there. He can have a pleco with him (maybe a Royal Pleco, Rubber Nose, or Bushy Nose but not a common Pleco) if you want.
As for the tank you currently have the oscar in (this shapeshifting thing that ranges from 50-68.225 gallons) I would take everyone's advice and go with Convicts or Firemouths. A JD could be good as well. Some other Pleco options would include Clown Plecos or Gold Nuggets, or you could go with a Raphael Cat.
I thought you were doing so well, and it looks like you relapsed a bit. Balton777 is only saying what dozen's of other people have been thinking. If you're going to start threads asking for advice, please follow the advice you are receiving.

Oscaroo, you have received some harsh responses because the nature of your query brings up a fear for the majority of us on this forum who are dedicated hobbyists. There is years of experience here on the forum and is freely and, for the most part, honestly shared. My suggestion is think before you ask.

You and anyone else will get slammed if there is any suggestion of irresponsible fish keeping.

Your question sounds like one my nephew would ask" hey which fish do you think is the toughest"? OK well it depends because they can all be tough.

Quite frankly IMO this thread has become pointless.

You can lead a horse to water ........

also you should grab a dictionary and stay in school. next listen to the advice given and stop asking the same thing over and over. yes a jd and a pleco will be fine. just keep in mind any fish that will fit in another fishes mouth can be eaten and most likely will be. with that said good luck. you dont have to get a jd online. check petco/petsmart they are like 7.99 without any shipping.

A Jd and a common pleco in a 36" tank? Not really the best advice IMO. 3 feet of potential fish in a 3 foot tank is setting him up to fail. Convicts, firemouths, or even a salvini could work. As for the pleco, just don't buy a common. Lots and lots of cool species that don't grow too large, but keep in mind they are ALL poop machines, so filtration will need to be very good.

I have a female convict in my 300 that is a real looker and handles herself against, my Jd, Midas and Festae. Probably the most aggressive fish I own, and she's the smallest cichlid in the tank.

Trimacs:drool: can be aggressive and look great. so can Fenestratus, Umbees are mad as well. But if you want the meanest fish of all try the Australian Mangrove Jack :WHOA:

Umbee? Mangrove Jack? Yes, a fish that has the potential to grow 2'-3' is a great recommendation for a 4' x 18" tank. :screwy: When new fishkeepers click on this thread and read idiot replies like this, they think it's ok to do it.

(Newbie Fishkeepers-Words of Wisdom, don't take just anyone's advice on the internet.)

Green terror, aggressive, not to large and very fun and atractive. youll get compiments from everyone if you raise it right:)
