Inc tank crash lol, seriously thoe if your running an over stock tank get a good stand and have room for a large sump (way better than the canisters and cheaper).

I have no idea about sumps, I read that are good/better, but noisy, smelly and lots of evaporation.

Don't like noise, wife won't like smell, and the humidity increase will affect the health of my corella...

My biggest system is a sump system that is the most quiet system I run. Bean, Herbie or Durso drains will eliminate noise and the first 2 will make it flood proof.

And the smell and evaporation shouldn't be much more than you are currently experiencing. It's not like a sump will triple your water volume or anything.

For big systems, sumps win on every level. No noise, more efficient, easier mauntenance and it gives you a place to put unsightly things like plumbing and heaters. Acts as a qt tank of needed , which I use alot with big cichlids.

Nah he always plays in the spray bars, and he is really bossy with the others!!! Even shoved the big fen out the way for food!!
