My 5-6" indo dat is bullying all my peacock bass around 7-8" what should i do? I thought they would get along but few days later the datnoid dominated my tank

i encounter a similar issue my 4" dat was picking my 7" pbass while they were in a separate tank, i threw 'em up with my other dats and pbass that were roughly around 9" and never had a problems since...the 4" dat used to dominate half the tank

I have four pbass blinded from smaller size dats. I raised the pbass from 1.5", and lost 3 of them due to starvation from being blind. One (the smart one that knows to come to the front wall at feeding time) still lives because I (have to) hand feed him every time. Don't want the same happen to others...

this is just they way they are. All dats I have seen have little man syndrome. My 4.5 inch dat chases my 13 inch gator gar and also my 14 inch endlicheri lol

its very hard to get the mix right

most of the large tigers you see for sale in asia are for sale because of conflicts with aros

the best and only way to get a FAIRLY peaceful mixed comm is to mix each fish whith as many different types of fish from a young age

my aro and big ST have both been mixed from very small sizes 2inch the size of the ST and 8inch the aro

as they grow they need to be well matched or you will get one boss and the submisive one will probably fade and die after time

some weeks the aro is boss and the ST wont feed other weeks the the ST is boss and the aro wont feed

im baby sitting ade 14inch indo right now and it had never been mixed with a aro for any long times and it was flexing up to my aro but he soon got put in his place by the aro and my ST

you will always get fights in a mixed pred tank its up to you how much you are willing to put up with its normally nothing more than split fins
