not a good idea.
Elaborate? Is it the 2 times a day feedings? or the pellets?
I often feed mine twice a day.
not a good idea.
When I first got into rays (a few months ago) I started out with a male motoro at 10". A few days later I added my buddies female which is also 10". She was very dominant and aggressive. Mounting him, and pretty much pummeling him even if she was on the other side of the tank. I egg crated divided them, but she knocked it over, and after realizing that he was the same size as her, and that he was a-ok and not stressed, it went on for about 2 more days- then he pummeled her back, and now they are best buds!
But all rays are different, so definitely keep an eye on them. I would suggest separating them for a bit.
Did you QT her at all?
all i did was acclimate her into the tank.
#1 thing in fish keeping is QT, QT, and QT!
Definitely treat for internal parasites. You can use Prazi for that.
thanks but i do mix up their diet depending on how much time i have n between my schedule. i do feed my fish with filets and shrimp
I think if you are going through a bag of hikari pellets every 3 days, you still aren't feeding enough of variety. I feed 15 tanks hikari pellets, and a bag lasts me about 3 weeks.
i dont just keep stingrays in my tank. i dont just grab a hand full of pellets and throw it in i try to feed enough for every fish in the tank to have a chance to eat
