Im wondering what you think is the most aggressive fish... I know the Piranhas are up at the top or around the top... can anyone think of a more aggressive fish?

Piranhas are not as aggressive as you think , they rep is more hyped up then anything , but some species of Piranhas are aggressive then others but one on one a dovii would kill a Piranha, so would a buttikoeri. Piranhas kill in packs but if you do research , Piranhas are not on the top of the food chain where they are at, they can be lethal in packs but other species of fish reign supreme in the amazon where the Piranhas are .

Yes, Piranhas are quite skittish fish. Large growing cichlids such as Dovii, Red Terrors, Red Devils, Flowerhorns, and etc. are quite aggressive.

Im looking for pack fish... Im doing a report on aggressive aquarium fish and I need some different pack fighting fish... or really agressive single fish that I could feed a large feeder fish to and it would agressivly rip it apart... Its just a report im doing to show the different kinds of fish that people have and record videos and put them on youtube.. so yea... just give me some fish names im really looking for that pack type fish tho... are there any species of piranhas that attack more aggressivly then the red belly??

most species of piranha attack more vicously than red bellies. you might want to look at exodons/buck tooth tetras. very aggressive pack hunters, and they put on a good show at feeding time.

but again, piranhas aren't even near the top of the list of most aggressive fish. red terrors (aka festae), dovii, jaguars (aka managuense), and trimacs are all examples of cichlids that could dominate a pack (3-6) of piranhas.

also, i've read that oscars have been known to fend off packs of piranhas, and also even lead attacks on prey items that the oscar wants to eat but can only get with the help of a pack of piranhas.

but if you want an aggresive pack hunter, look into african tiger fish. the tiger part of their name comes from their teeth;) just do a google image search

Hoplias Aimara hands down.
