I recently bought a 11-12" Odoe pike. Everything I researched about the fish prior to purchasing the fish said they were not aggressive fish. Most info said they were the opposite, being scared and skittish fish. Ive had mine for only 2 weeks and its killed 3 of my fairly aggressive central/south american cichlids(2 blue labs and a texas all bigger than 5"). I wondering if anyone else has had an Odoe like this or is mine just a killer??? Any info you guys have would be appreciated.

I have a 12in odor....and hes not aggressive unless its
Small enough for him to eat or if its another silver
Fish.

Probably cause he's new, large, and an Odoe making him bad ass - mines no serial killer but not one to be pushed around either, not by the Dats, the Brycon, or the Escondido - your gonna need larger tankmates.

O. what have you gotten yours to eat at this point?

Mine was not aggressive but enjoyed eating live food at times consisting of tank mates up to 3/4 of his size. If you put him with tank mates his own size he should be fine, avoid "fingerling" shaped fish. Pacu, dats, silver dollars may be less likely to be swallowed. If you want to get rid of him let me know I would be interested. GL

Sweet fish and +1 to what has been said....anything that comes close to being mouth sized is probably on the dinner list.

They are mean, mine will attack my Goliath which is bigger size than it and my Northern snakehead is so scare of it when it swim near it wahahaha.... Dun get fool by those informations on the net.these fish are unpredictable anything that can fit into it's mouth,it's dinner :)

Not for nothing on the original post, the resident fish were half his size ie feeders. Poor pike getting a bad rep. He was just hungry.
