I give my pair of greens a varied diet and lots of food (more than they really should have :naughty: )

Does this answer your question about not feeding enough? I give them a sheet of nori a day, along with 3 large handfuls of color pellets, and a bunch of mealworm beetles (my leopard gecko won't eat the beetles). Thoughout the week I also offer earthworms, nightcrawlers, bloodworms, beefheart (this only occasionally as a treat), zuccini, even leftover veggies from dinner.

I had a gold severum that killed it 50p sized sibling upon arrival from the store, picked on everything I added and even had the balls to start a fight with my 6" green terror who was about 2" larger than it. It killed an oscar that was larger than it, bullied a firemouth to near death and punked a parachromis loisellei to near death.
Only the GT could beat it when it got a bit lively.
It was promptly rehomed where it took over a 6ft tank in the lfs. The guy in the lfs thought I was over reacting to it's aggression, I think he regretted saying yes to it.

My sevs if they can catch it, they will eat it...all 10"+ ea...
Gold and Green have laid back personalities..My Rotkeil thinks he's a dovii:popcorn:
