I have a pair of Blood Parrots and for some reason as soon as I turn off both lights at night they start attacking the other fish. I MEAN IMMEDIATLY!!!! Any other time they are fine and non-aggressive! The only other time the female is aggressive is when she is protecting her eggs. So at night I always leave one light on so that I don't have to wake up to any dead fish. Not sure what to do........don't really want to separate any of the fish.

^^ Yep might try a moonlight or remove that female..

parrot female 4 1/2 in
parrot male 51/2 in
blue gourami 4 in
pearl gourami 3 in
danio 3 in
3 convicts 21/2in
pleco 7 in

I think that's it.

And just the past 3 days or so I have noticed the female parrot has been really mean with everyone, which I know is their personality but hadn't been that way before. Maybe it's because she just laid eggs last week Saturday and because dad is not fertile they did not hatch. Really dont know still very new to this.:nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly:

Unless you remove the female or the pair, you will always have unrest in that tank because the parrot pair will claim their territory.
Typical, female are nothing but trouble.

So if i decide to remove them.... are there any other type of fish that can be put in the same tank with them??? Or are they always going to be BUTTS and not get along with anyone????
