we were hoping for male and we choose this one because it was almost twice as dark as the other 2 in the tank while at the store. we are hoping it darkens back up once it gets used to its new home. it also appeared to be the dominant fish in that tank bacause it was the one bullying everyone else jags,JDs,and RDs

mine went almost black for two months then suddenly came out looking like he does now like an ugly duckling into a real beaut
