I just added a 8" flowerhorn into my 120g tank. He is too agressive to my two 6" oscars. They have to hide all time. what can I do to reduce the agressive behivor. My tank is 22"w by 21"H by 48L, can not find a divider for this dimension.

flowerhorn usualy have to be kept by them selves. If ur not worried about apperance just get one of those ceiling grates, like to cover a light or a vent they sell them at home depot and cut to fit.

Keep one or the other, if you divide the tank they will not have enough room. You can also try growing the oscars larger and reintroducing a flowerhorn when the oscars are significantly larger.

You can build your own divider, just go to the hardware store and ask for egg-crate style fluorescent light covers, if I remember right they come in 2ft x 4ft pieces. Then you just cut them down to the size and shape you want with some wire cutters and I sanded down the cut areas so they are smooth and don't cut a fish trying to get through (mine has holes/doors cut so the smaller fish can go back and forth). I also got some flexible water line hose and cut it down to size and split one side to make a cover for the edges of the egg-crate so it's a bit snugger in the tank and will not scratch the glass. If your not sure what I mean let me know and I'll post a pic of what it looks like for you.
Hope that helps, the only other thing I can think of to stop the FH from betting the O's up is move one or the other, lower the water temp some (I'm not a fan of doing this but have heard it can work), or putting in more caves/hiding spots and try to make it easier to brake the line of sight.

I may have to move them (oscars) to my red belly pirahas (2") tank. Last time I moved a red teorror there, it got killed within 2 hours.

instead of dooming either fish to certain death offer them up as "free to good home". if a red terror got killed then an O has no chance.
im sure if they are free then someone will take them. offer them to your lfs also to see if they want them and you may get a little store credit.
its better than putting either in with piranha.

This will never work, sooner or later Oscars will be killed, even when much larger than FH

The oscars are dead in a tank that size with a FH. They are also dead with a pirhana.

I've seen it done. I've also seen oscars beat down much more aggressive cichlids including managuense, rd, etc... The order things are introduced can change everything, I wouldn't be surprised if it worked.
I mix my large male carpintis x texas with other cichlids. I just put him in a 55 until the others are acclimated to his 180...still King though.
