hmmmmm, I dunno for you guys but I will never see shrimps the same again!

I had 3 cherry shrimps in a 5g with a small betta and a male and female amano, when 2 shrimps vanished after their molts I did not know if my fish had eaten them or if the water parameters had something that had killed them.... well I just learned a lesson today! :(

I was watching my last cherry as it was starting to molt, it only had a little peice of exoskeleton off... all of a suden my big amano female zooms by and grabs him! :( She started eating the exposed flesh  and though I chassed her off right away it was too late....

I have never found anything about "your yamato/amano can kill your cherries", though I have recently discovered posts of a few people saying they had dumfoundedly witnessed their ghost or amano shrimps leaping up, grabing a passing guppy and draging it back to the bottom to feed on.... so perhapse a few times when you see your shrimp eat a fish, it might not of been dead before after all.... :(

poor little cherry....
