The green terror would likely be killed. You would have to upgrade in 4-6 months to keep the give the fish appropriate space and keep aggression down. If you add 4 convicts (all male, you don't want a breeding pair) and maybe half dozen giant danios you could keep the aggression pretty low.

So we cool midas madness? What do you have in your tank? maybe a single odo would be a better alternative, than upgrade in a year to a 125g or something, than use the 55g for smaller cichlids
The odo option sounds the best.K great! HAH i cant make up my mind i really want a cichlid community. Maybe just get like the barred midas for now, than wait a while, upgrade and get the rest of the fish? but by that time the midas might be too territorial? thanks buddy
those fish will kill each other the tanks going to be small when they become full grown if they make it that long

Ive written like 3 times and always agree with what others say. What are you going for? You do not seem to have any tanks for quarantine, injuries(which will happen), why not as suggested go with a single midas in a 55? That would be fine, awesome fish too and would get huge and be more than enough entertainment
