I have now removed the SD's, one a three quarters of them left. moved into another tank. After the removal he seem to have become very aggresive towards me now. constant flaring.

Thats was great while it lasted, looks like the Aimara just couldn't tolerate them anymore. Good thread Jelly, as i am also toying with the idea of adding some tankmates to my Aimara tank, or should i say i "was" thinking about it..
I still have the larger aimara and Brycon, VATF comm going. They are a lot more bulshy and although they do get snapped at they are very fast. The strong flow helps as well. There is less of a size differencial aswell.
Armered cats probably wouldn't be a good idea. They would get attacked, lots of damage and stress.

So, wat happens with two or more wolfs, complete pit fight style? I guess african cichlid style crowding doesn't work? Just more carnage faster?
