Which Brycon species did you have? I suspect dentex or whitie

Dentex I think found them labeled as Sabalo Barracuda, I have one left like 4 inches.

well, if you consider getting rid of the Brycon, I'm happy to take 'em! :D

I have a tiny Dorado growing at the moment so may want to thin the numbers out;)

Thought so, what size tank did you have them in?

Thanks, things seem to be settling down but I do feel it's on the edge of chaos sometimes. No amapa, it's a plane common Venezualan.

Nice! Thats Monster! I'll admit that I would not have the courage to have that Combo with a Aimara... Hats off to you if it works out for more than 6 months :D

are you using a wavemaker in the set up ?

The theory is Hoplias including aimara will only target fish that either present a feeding opertunity or a terratorial threat. Large midwater swimmers don't present either of these, although sometimes I see an irritated snap at them as they buzz past to close.

Yes, I am using the 6000 at the moment, I am waiting for the 12000 to come in stock and I will give that a go. It has worked well and I often see the aimara hovering in the flow. They are really cheap and great value for money.

it hover all around the tank or at only that right side of your tank ?
