I'd guess Apistogramma steidachneri or something in that species complex.

steindachnari have lyerette tails (but yes does bear some similarites to the complex), busy at the moment, will try to help again a bit later

wow, i was thinking somewhere along the lines of a female borelli, but yours looks much more similar. if not, it could be a hybrid. but i think darth pike is right.

doubtful its a female due to the streamers/filaments on the pelvic fins. Apisto hybrids are few and far between, and with over 100 types its more than likely a pure strain (only regulary produced hybrid being apistogramma spp. 'blue steel')

as for the apisto, hmmmmmmmm
in the middle of some assignments so pushing time to research it for you , I'm more of an experienced apisto keeper than an identifier. If no one here can give you you a quick answer you could always try apistogramma.com, #1 site for dwarf cichlid ID'ing

Yeah, i definately don't think it's a hybrid. My first guess is a borelli. Is it alot easier to ID when they get a little bigger? Both are only maybe an in.
