I always like to have an airline to one of the powerheads in the tank. More piece of mind than anything.
I kinda like having the tiny little bubbles in the tank
i just like the calmness of the water without the bubbles in the water ... but i guess having more oxygen could make the fishes happier living in the tank ...
Moving water from the bottom of the tank to the top is more of less the more efficient process since oxygen exchange is primarily performed at the top and since low levels of oxygen are primarily at the bottom.
ok tks for the input dr stangelove ... so you mean there a positive effect on fishes if i have air bubbles in the main tank even though theres already an oxygen exchange in the main tank ? if so, i will probably follow the advice of didysis of cutting the pipe just a few mm above the water level ...
