Not sure if this is the right part of the forum, but if not I will remove and relocate this post.

I am looking at getting a more efficient way to supply air to my fish room, I am currently running 20 tanks and will be running approximately 35 in this room. Instead of running numerous air pumps like I am currently. I plan to run pvc pipe around the room and 1 compressor/large air pump to supply everything. I am lost at looking at so many different air pump/compressors. Does anyone here have a setup similar or can recommend a air pump/ compressor to use? Not so worried about sound, but don't want it sounding like a freight train in the house. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have a very similar setup, I have 24 tanks running and plan on setting a few more this year.

This week I ordered a central air pump for Jehmco. From what I have tell they are pretty quite and should make everything much easier in the room. I have 17 air pumps and HOB fitler running so moving down to 1 will make a huge difference.

I plan on making a video of the update in my room as soon as I get it done. My pump is arriving today but all the air valves will be here next week so next weekend I hope to set it all up.

Just curious warhawk but did you ever get a video? I am still in the planning stage, had a few setbacks at work and some unexpected bills. I will be pulling the trigger soon though.

I had up to 46 running at one time off of one central pump. Bought it from Jehmco. Pretty sure mine is the LPH80. A bit overkill for my setup, but I wanted to have room for expansion.

My local shop has a small blower running rather than a pump. It's quieter and I can see the lifespan being much longer than a pump since its a simpler design. Probably cheaper too. I'll see if I can get a picture.

Google ring compressor or regenerative blower. High pitch whine sound that can be muffled a bit but will put out air almost forever. They are best throttled by bleading off excess air which adds to the sound so size carefully

I have an alita AL-60 that does 60lpm. Supposed to be good for I believe 50+ and is pretty quiet. I'm currently only using it on my 190 and moving bed but plan to run pvc to the other room and add in a few more sponges. I imagine it will be even quieter then.
