Air pump for Fish Room

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My local shop has a small blower running rather than a pump. It's quieter and I can see the lifespan being much longer than a pump since its a simpler design. Probably cheaper too. I'll see if I can get a picture.

No way shape or form is a blower much quieter than a diaphragm air pump. Maybe one of those terrible liners from Coraline, but not something like a Medo, Alita, or Jehmco Pump. They are nearly silent in a fish room. You can always hear a blower running.

That may be true regarding a high end air pump. I've got no personal experience with these side by side. I'm certain the blower would have a much longer life though.
