I'm getting a Whisper 100 that has dual outputs on it, but I'm only going to need one of the outputs for a sponge filter.

So my question is can I just plug up the outlet I don't need? Will this harm the pump in any way? looking for feeback on this. Thanks

you wouldnt wanna do that since you will put alot of force and pressure on the motor inside What you could do is just let it run without any airline on it and only one side is running. Thats what i do at least but two can never hurt. or what mavrick said Haha forgot about those....

Get a T Barb and run them both into one line.

Hello Mike, I thought about the T-bar but then I thought with it set up like that, that it cause a lot of back pressure on both sides before the air goes up the one line. But I really don't know.

how bout a T barb that goes to a larger size hose, no back pressure for sure then ;)

I've run the same Rena 400 for about 10 years with both lines plumbed into one with no adverse effects on the Pump. Only thing I ever service on that is the Intake air filter.

OK guys, that's why I asked. T-bar with both lines into one it is! Thanks for the quick replies.

I also thought of just running two sponge filters in the tank, but I don't know if I want to use that much space. Anyhow sounds like T-bar for now. Thanks again.....

x10 on the t-barb. I've done it this way for years.
