Air Pumps

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I use the air pump out of a nebulizer. It's ugly and kind of loud but MAN it moves a lot of air.

I just picked up a marineland 3000 air pump for my 90 gallon. It pumps a decent amount of air(2 output nozzles, both are adjustable) and is relatively cheap. don't know how reliable it is, since I've had it for only 1 day.

I use the tetratec deep waters. I use only the single outlets though cuz I had problems with 2 of the dual outlets. I got them replaced cuz they are lifetime warranties but a pain to ship them and wait for a new one. Right now a got the biggest one I think a dw-96 and I run 8 feet of bubble wall in my 300.

I use the Marineland Airmaster 3000 on my 75 at work. It's greatness. It moves a ton of air, it's taken several stiff impacts, and the airflow adjustments are built into the pump instead of being inline.

On all my other aquariums I have the new Whispers and they're nearly as fantastic if not a little more quiet.

i use or should say have a coralife super luft pump

move alot of air but its noisy, actually its very quiet for a magnetic piston pump ;)

the noise doesnt bother me but it bothers other members in the house so im forced to keep it in my equipment drawer :(

note: i use sweetwater silica airstone and these things will NEVER clog in your lifetime, if they do, a quick acid bath and there ready for the next 50 years :headbang2
