i use no name brand $3-$4 pumps. they quiet and work. when they stop working i pop off and get another one. no wories about anything.

Ive been using the new model whisper 100 pumps for over a year now and have no complaints,can run 5 Hydro V sponges in a standard 125g tank.I got them off drsfosterandsmith.com for $20 each so theyre pretty hard to beat
