Airline tickets! Ughh so expensive!!!!

I know when I flew last time (Few years ago mind you) it was acutally cheaper to go directly thru alaska airlines and then they were responsible if I got stuck with a layover and my next flight left. Almost all those flights will send you on 2 different airlines and then your stuck if one plane screws you over.

I also ended up only paying $20 more each way to go out of the tiny local airport instead of heading out on a 2 hour drive one way to get to the big one and then having to park the car.

I can't blame them for charging for luggage, one trip we took an encylopedia set home in luggage and another time it was a 2 foot long full iron weiner dog statue that weighs about 50 lbs alone. I wish they would stop letting people bring on those massive carry on bags... I'm tired of getting hit on the head when someone misses the storage areas. :irked:
 
I know my dad just went to jamaica from the toronto airport, and it cost him $1500 per person, and he took himself, his girlfriend, her daughter and her daughters boyfriend, so cost him $6k just for the plane trip =S

I was at daytona beach a few years back, had a great time and rescued a beached lion fish. I wonder if the oil reached there yet. :irked:
 
Coach fare between Florida and LAX or SF shouldn't cost more than $ 500 per round trip ticket if purchased more than 30 days ahead of time, even in the Summertime. Just bought a travel package to SF with the GF for a 3 night stay at the Hyatt Regency costing under $ 1000 total for two including the air fare.:D

BTW JetBlue is not an expensive airline. They're more like the Kmart of the US airline industry;)

Air travel to Asia gets more expensive during the Summer and Holiday seasons. Costs much less in the Spring or Fall.
