families day is definitely more for the kids, they love sitting in the cockpits and just seeing the planes. personally i hate tornado cockpits, i think they are cramped and uncomfortable, but the kids dont have to do work in them.
Sorry to hear that mate, when i was a child up until present i always drempt of being a pilot, shame i have bad eyesite and no brain, hehe...

the RAF isnt all its cracked up to be. they lie to get people to join and try to force you into trades they are short of. they tried to get me into being a propulsion technician because they were short of them at the time. when i corrected them they tried to blame me for them not reading my paperwork correctly. i stood arguing with the corporal in the AFCO about my paperwork for about an hour, surprised i made it out the AFCO.
tornado's are stunning planes until you try to do maintenance on them. badly designed and under funded.
now the eurofighter is an easy jet to work on. the boxes just pull out and push in. no fiddly bayonet connectors in impossible creivices.
