Albany area fish stores

I will be in the Albany area tomorrow. I am looking to stop and do some fish shopping? Anyone know of any good stores in the area???
 
What are you looking for? There's davey jones locker on delaware ave. Was there the other day and they have some nice pikes, 2 big gars, and a few other things. Very nice people. I would also suggest eddies aquarium but I haven't been happy with them for a while. A lil over priced and boring stock.

I would go to davey jones. Eddies aquarium in is latham about 15 mins from albany

I know its a little late for advice but its good to see that I'm not the only one unhappy with eddies recently. They have some cool stuff sometimes but recently its just been dead. I think the only half way interesting things there were a big blue eyed pleco and the chaca chaca cat thats been there for a while. They do have a nice selection of saltwater stuff though but I'm not in that game.

Daveys is good too and they take great care of their fish as well. Honestly, they both are expensive but overall I wouldn't say eddies is that much more and I've seen some pretty high markups at daveys before too.

I agree but daveys has been the only one around that has had some hard to come by fish. Daveys is pricey but I think it is better to go I daveys because daveys has more fish then eddies does. I like Eddies but they are always getting the same things in week in and week out and when they do get those hard to come by fish they charge way to much. ( I will give you a example: I bought a ornate bichir from Davey jones locker for $80 at 12-13" but eddies had a ornate 6-7" for $60. So I got twice the size ornate bichir for $10 more
