Albino fryeri are different from White Knights. White Knights have normal eyes, while albino have red eyes. It's impossible to know if they were crossbred because a hybrid can look like either parent.

So do they go by fryeri or are they a fryeri mix
I under stand eye color is different but that dosnt mean there not the same species just a color variance?
Cause I was told that when the white knight alhi's breed that a good majority of the fry are albino making them albino white knight alhi's
Not just albino alhi's, cause the original parents were not original blues
Just trying to figure out there background
Line bred / wild caught originally
Or a hybrid ?

Can you stop referring to them as ahlis? Just because ahli is a very rare species and in fact, the fish you are looking for are fryeri.

Yes they are both fryeri but you can't know if they are pure or hybrid, because the genes may have been introduced by another species.

By the way, I'm not trying to be obnoxious or anything but it annoys me when people misname things.

Sciaenochromis fryeri I understand that this is the correct name
And that these are old or incorrect
Haplochromis jacksoni, Haplochromis cf. ahli, Haplochromis ahli, and Cyrtocara ahli.
It's just a old habit from the guy who got me breeding them
And all the local fish stores don't help plus Internet
What rare alhi are u referring to ?

Yes, Sciaenochromis fryeri is the correct name. Those are incorrect. The species Sciaenochromis ahli is a rarely seen species in the hobby.
