Albino Arowana - Sick

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry he looked pretty bad. Any tankmates beating on him? He looked really stressed. With the skin and fin lesions I suspect he went septic

lowering the water level actually calms the fish greatly. plus the lights dont help either. something is spooking him causing him to go crazy and injuring himself to death in my opinion.

Nothing whatsoever was spooking him, the jurnese and plecos keep to themselves. I've witnessed several times the weird behavior of him what looks like trying to bust thru the glass lids. He was for sure infected with something. But he is gone now, unfortunately.

I find that my Aro freaks just as much if not more when lights are off. My thought is with lights off it can see all the activities around and easily spooked. When lights are on he cannot see as well. Just like harder to see outside with lights on at night.

In a FB Group this morning someone posted about a weird thing he saw in his tank. He also happens to have an Arowana. I saw the same thing a week before my Arowana died. One guy mentioned that the Aro may be sick. I didn't take a photo of mine, I actually thought mine was part of the zucchini the plecos were eating but then again it didn't look like part of it so I just scooped it out. This may be a clue that I totally missed. 15873195_10154954642617451_3459817800864277445_n.jpg 15965835_10154954642592451_8460669253194614789_n.jpg
