Pics are needed.....as well as a much larger tank/pond.

Fact. It will need a larger tank/pond at some point. You never disclosed your future plans for the fish, whether it was keeping or giving away, not our fault.

That is deffinently a Albino Channel. You must have never taken the proper housing needs of your past Channels as they can well reach over 3'. Ask mqtandy he had one that was 30"

Verification.
Assumption based on the fact that you had other "channel cats" that were much smaller. If they were channels, then this would be fact.

lol

maybe your other cats weren't albinos

By the way .. the other member probably said something about your housing because its listed in your tank setup ... and none of the tanks you listed are big enough for a channel cat at full grown size.
250 gallon pond isn't that big either, still too small.

yes all of us RTC owners have or are making ponds in the range of 1000gallons or more.

Clarification of species.
Explanation as to why he mentioned housing issue. Again, how are we supposed to know what your future plans are. You bought the fish, why would we assume you would get rid of it?

No, didn't say that. Chill out, LOL. You said your one is over a foot long now, and if it is growing that fast, it will continue to grow at a decent rate and you need to be prepared.

If your plan is rehoming, cool. But you never said that.

No one is getting MAD at you, so don't get mad back.

None of your fish that are small are albino cats, there is no way. I'm guessing they are albino pimelodus of some sort.

Diskboy has a 20long for his redtail cat BABY who is 3" long, and is going into a 55 gallon growout, and then into an 8x8 pond. His pacu is in a different tank, but has to be housed temporarily at his girlfriends because his power went out and won't be back on until tomorrow.

Read up before you start assuming things.

We just went off of what you have listed and what pics you posted, without hostility. You on the other hand got upset and I'm not sure why. We give advice here, and if you can't take it, then go ahead and delete your account. That isn't meant to be mean, just harsh reality.

Repetition of the fact that the catfish will get very large, reiteration of the fact that you just now disclosed the fact that you plan on rehoming.
Species guesstimate.
Defense for other member that you chose to berate just because you can't take advice.

Just saying.

Very factual post there Jessica. I would add more but you pretty much said it all and I don't feel like reiterating it over again.
