Got lucky with this group and they took to hikari carnivore right out of the gate then were switched to the cheaper hikari gold afterwards. Never offered them live food. Ironic as ive owned prob. 50ct reg. or royal CK's over the years and not one of them would ever eat cut fish or pellets for me, only feeders. Id imagine them being farm raised/c.b. has alot to do with it. Im very thankful i held out the 1st cple weeks and refrained from any live foods. They started to chow down lights out and became more bold as time went on feeding during lights on. Nowadays they beg for food when they see me.wednesday13 very nice looking group. How long did it take to pellet train them.

I agree... struggled many times over the years wishing/wanting a CK to eat prepared foods for me. Never would have expected it'd be the albinos i waited years for there to be a price drop on lol... Sadly i did lose the largest one who stuffed himself the most. pellets expand and he just couldnt pass the load. They get rationed now with a smaller amount every other day to every 3 days to digest.Yes was curious because don't hear of other CK owners feeding pellet.
