They usually kill any fish that looks genetically different (color, short body, etc) an feed them to the catfish because they are worthless to their business. Maybe I can change their minds.

I'll let everyone know what I find out.

The fish farm I visited on Monday stocked 4-6inch fingerlings last year and because the genetics were such an issue with clients (1000+ variants over 12 months) they have begun stocking fingerlings at 1-2inches. This is too small for most of these pigmentation genes to show themselves. He did say they usually have only 1 or 2 true albino fish each year and that fish like the one in the pic I posted in the photo lounge on the albino, xanthic, leucistic sticky thread(next to last page) are more common. However, I have located another fish farm that I believe is stocking fish around 6-8inches. Hopefully I'll have an answer soon.

i had one in my grandfathers pond a few years back. havent seen it in a while unfortunatly. much better looking in person. i love them. if you get one let me know. i would love one.
