Hello, could anyone help me ID this albino pleco? Is this an albino form of the normal pleco petstore sells all the time? Or is this some special kind of pleco? He/she is about 10 inches. Looks like a normal pleco to me but have never seen an albino one before. Is an albino one I this size very rare in the hobby? Sorry not familiar with pleco, so any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Gibbiceps and common are two different species. It was one of the two.

The species in question is an albino sailfin gibbiceps (Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps) common only in its availability.
A true common pleco is Pterygoplichthys pardalis.
Even Hypostomus plecostomus a frequently imported species has been referred to as common pleco for years. The whole common pleco reference can be confusing if you aren’t familiar with the different species and locales.
