A guy that sold me some bichirs told me this. He said to watch out for senegal attacking and eating the eyes of other bichirs. He kind of got me paranoid after hearing this because I don't want to have a bunch of one eye bichirs. :nilly:
 
Never heard of Senegals eating eyes...

I also wouldn't worry about them being "slow feeders" Its a common concern with polypterus that they wouldn't get enough food in a community tank. I think its valid with most species but not senegalus.

I have two senegals that seriously race to the top and steal floating pellets from the JD in the tank...very aggressive feeders :)
 
im new at this fish it would be cool to get some info from some pros i have a senegal otnate palmas jardini and ared tail

I don't have a jardini, but everything I have read says they will eliminate tankmates most likely

and i hope that "red tail" isn't a rtc....
