I got the Albino, put him in. Everything was OK overnight. This morning when I fed them the Demasoni destroyed it in a couple minutes. The Zebra was bigger than the biggest Dem but there was a frenzy and then the zebra was dead. Are the albinos genetically wimpy?

Leleupi was just hanging out as usual, then ate from the carcass.

Poor fish, there is nothing left.

I looked into Dems for an outside pond which is white with white holy rock but read they are killers . You find that to be the case?

I might just go with Yellow labs or yellow/red zebras . The "pond" only holds 140 gallons which for a pond is tiny so prefer non killers granted zebras can be feisty. Not sure yet

Demasoni are quite territorial...infact all mbuna are....next time you add fish to your tank try moving the decorations around in the tank, that way the fish are all unfamiliar with the surroundings making them less territorial and easier to the newly added fish.

Thanks its for an outside pond which is empty but cycled as it has dwarf cattails, dwarf papyrus growing out of it .
I was thinking of Dem but prefer calmer fish think the yellow labs are calmer might go with 1 m 2 f to start out.
I still might look more into the Dem as they are my first choice

Thanks

Yeah, they can be a pain. They like to nip fins and will not back down from most fish that cannot eat them.

Like has been suggested here, when you add fish add a couple at a time and rearrange.

All I did was add 3 but didn't rearrange anything. The Dems targeted the albino and left the reds alone. The reds are doing great.
