looks like its a genetic difference, some senegal bichirs are just inbred and that can have lasting visual effects on them, being albino, these bichirs have even a smaller gene pool to choose from, so they are even more likely inbred.

Your sen is short bodied coz it has only 7 fins. Normal sen have 9 fins. i have one sb sen birchir for 3 years and only 6 in length.
cool I always assume the spine number was a gender trait similar to rope fish.
