  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thanks for the advice people - do you think it makes sense what i say that if they are 3-4 inches but still look very underdeveloped they must be one of the bigger species of SH?

Do they look like this?? True albinos?... (red/pink eyes?... or black eyes?) Most likely C. striata?... post pics when you get them.

They look exactly like that except lighter :)

You think definitely striata not micropeltes?

What are they like compared to micropeltes?

have them here too... 6" for S$8 each...

labelled as golden channa... my white @$$...

have no idea what species they are.... havent seen an adult yet.

Just wanna share my experiences with you.
I used to keep different kinds of snakeheads.
The nicest that I've come across is the Golden Cobra Snakehead.
They really have nice patterns on the top of their head.
The next one that I like has 3 colours. Brown overall with white, little bluish and yellow specks all over. These are really expensive snakeheads.
And when seperated by a piece of acrylic, they look like Siamese fighting fishes that keep showing off their fins and knocking on the acrylic piece.

But I can tell you that they are not easy to rear when juvenile.
Or maybe I don't know how to rear them.

Though they are hardy but when your water condition is not good, they die easily.

just my 2cents thoughts.

NOT FAIR

By all means get the albino, id can come later when it grows a bit. It will be at from at least the hujeta so if it were me I would put in a divider until it reaches around 5" or so, Once a fish reaches around 3/4 the size of a hujeta it is generaly safe, even smaller if it is wide bodied but young channas are skinny.

yup it's a skinny little bastard. Right now it's in a tank with just a similar sized spotted gar I bought at the same time. When they grow I'll mix them.

I'll post a pic later.

OK - as before excuse the photo - crappy phone camera.

The tank also has very dim lighting.

I can't wait till he grows a bit so someone can tell me what he is an albino of exactly :)
