Jexnells one looks to Be true albino, actually alot rarer than you might think.

I see the black showing on his fins already I'm hoping it's just a light black and not dark and overwhelming because I do like the tips with black on them. Just not that much.

They will both look real good because the tank has black background and decor. The red orange will really pop on the tiger and the white will really pop on the albino tiger.

Your white Oscar looks to be a lutino, imo they don't look very nice when they grow. The black will likely expand making him look muddy and dirty.
If yours were a true albino it would be a harder choice. I say keep the regular tiger.
I don't know all the different types but jexnells is just albino oscar my is albino tiger Oscar. His does not have orange tiger stripes so I don't know if this makes a difference.

So your post struck my curiosity. After some research neither one of our oscars are true albino they are both Lutino. Mine is a Lutino albino tiger and jexnells is Lutino albino his does not have the tiger gene. If either were true albino they would have 0 color and only be white. Lutino is a word derived from a Latin word luteus wich means yellow we combined albino meaning white the two together are lutino. So lutino means white and yellow. True albino's are completely white.

Toni was sold as an Albino Tiger Oscar from The Wet Spot . A few months back she had more of the tiger look. But these last couple months all the bare tiger stripes have been filling in.
A few months back

See she looks more like what you think an Albino Tiger would

A few months later, all the bare area is filling in.

Thats what mine was sold as also. Definitely a beautiful oscar like i mentioned in earlier post i love the orange tips on her fin tips. I think albino oscars look way better with some color on them rather than just pure white.

Yeah there are so many terms, basically yours has black pigment which for me is undesirable. Any Oscar without that black looks 100× nicer imo, they are alot more scarce tho.
Leustic, melanistic or whatever the term is:-)

I love to hear opinions. That's why I'm posting pole. I don't mind the black I just don't want it taking over. A light fade I can handle. You are right tho the reg tiger will be very pretty regardless and the albino could look like a mutt.
