If I had ordered an albino and it turned out to be leukistic i'd be bummed, (or the other way) But if i'm looking at the tank and can see the fish for myself it dosn't worry me.

Aren't leucistic more rare than albinos?
Wouldn't this mean they are pricier?
If so, then wouldn't it be a good thing if it were mislabeled?

Albinos are very common. You don't see leucistic morphs most of the time. I had leucistic rummy nose tetras. They were labeled as albinos but I knew they weren't due to lack of red eye color.

If I went to the car dealership and they sold me a mislabeled vehicle I would be exceptionally angry... even if it did look almost the same...

I feel that if you wish to present yourself as a professional, it is your responsibility to be professional about it. If you don't even know what your selling that is a clear sign you need to get the hell out of the business, no matter what business your in...

I think it's sad how many people here don't care that their local shops are being irresponsible.

He does have a point, a certain level of honesty is required for a successful (read that in a business sense, not normal sense) transaction.

If it looks good to me, then I don't mind.

The general public doesn't care much for scientific technicalities. I suppose most members of the board don't either- but that's an accurate reflection of the people at large.
