a friend has this fish. he asked me to see if I can confirm the id. I have a chance to get it but I would have to work on him a bit I think.

Its infact a silurus glanis... as long as ur buying it in state ur good to go.
the resent ban has made me want one more and I just stumbled on this today. lol
I don't need to say it after Wednesday but I agree with the ID.
Is anything wrong with its caudal fin?
Wesley Wong was selling them IIRC for ~$125-$150 before they were banned. Now that they are, an informed seller may ask for 5x-10x more, if they are after $$. If they are after fish's well-being, they'd make sure it goes into the right hands and homes, even if for free.

ok thanks. I know he was into it. then said he wanted to wait. so I have to wait to get my hands on it. he has had it in a 30gal for a year so it likely has an issue with its tail. I am still trying to talk him into it. he is moving it to a larger tank at this point. he means we'll and is a nice guy so I am not pushing too hard..
